Basic Snowboarding Course for beginners
During winters, Snowboard Slopes in Manali can provide an exhilarating experience of Snowboarding in the white powdery snow. In this course, you’ll learn basic things right from how to walk on snow to Snowboarding on snow. Your instructor would work with you to develop the Skills required to Snowboard on various kinds of slopes and terrains. By the end of this beginner course, you’ll be able to Snowboard in a proper manner.
Arrival at Manali
Introduction to snow board. Finding stronger foot (regular/ goofy) with walking and skating on snow board. Learn to balance body on skate boards. Start with side slipping with the heel edge then side slipping on the toe edge.
Today the session will begin with more body balance. After body balance session, instructor will give the demonstration of using toe and heel while sliding on snow board like a pendulum. Participants will follow it and will practice it.
The participants will be taken to slopes which are slightly more challenging. The session begins with practice of Skills learnt previous day. After practice session, the participants learn the basic Beginner Turn using toe and heel. They use these turns while moving downhill.
The participants are taken to high challenging slopes where they practice turns along with their instructors. The feedback from the instructors will help them to better their Skills. They will be given the opportunity to skate board downhill under the guidance of instructors.
The participants experience skate boarding on the national slopes of Solang valley. Participants will learn to overcome the challenges while snowboarding in the terrain presented to them Post lunch a test will be conducted to assess the learnt Skills.
First half will be fun filled snowboarding day.
After lunch the participants check out and go to Manali for shopping. At evening they board the bus for onwards journey to Delhi.

The schedule of these courses will be such that from morning to afternoon you will be snowboarding and then the rest of the evening you will be free to explore Solang and Manali.
By Air, The nearest international airport is Chandigarh. Once at the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi or a bus to Manali.
By Bus, Manali is very well-connected to important tourist destinations like Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala and New Delhi by means of a network of state-run as well as private buses. The bus journey from Delhi to Manali is 550 kilometres, and it is advisable to book your tickets in the air-conditioned Volvo coaches, as the buses are more comfortable than ordinary ones, keeping in mind the long distance of the journey.
By Rail, Manali does not have a railway station. Jogindernagar about 50 kms away is the nearest railway station, which connects Manali to nearby cities. The nearest junction is at Chandigarh about 310 kms away and Ambala about 310 kms away, from where you can get trains to reach Manali from any part of India.

About the instructor
The Instructors headed by Bhuvaneshwari Kumar, will teach you this basic and advanced level skiing course, they have represented India in Winter Olympic Games and in other International events. They have been skiing in this valley since more than two decades.
